Amisha Patel, M.D., M.H.S.
Dr. Amisha Patel is an Internal Medicine attending with the Stanford Hospitalist Medical Group. Dr Patel has a background in Health Science and interests in Critical Care and Quality Improvement and has published in peer reviewed journals.
Dr. Patel was born and raised in Southern California before attending the Johns Hopkins University, where she earned a B.A. in Public Health and a Masters degree in Health Science with a Certificate in Vaccine Science and Policy. While in Baltimore, she was actively involved in a growing non-profit entity, now known as Health Leads, which provides services to the underserved. She then moved back to the west coast to attend the University of California at Irvine School of Medicine. As a medical student, she went on a medical mission to India and worked on a biotech project to record heart sounds for educational purposes. She then completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. During this time, in addition to her clinical work, she completed a number of research projects and served as a member of the Morbidity and Mortality review committee.
Dr. Patel loves to play tennis regularly. Her other interests include classical Indian music, jazz music and backpacking around the world.
