Daniel Ling, M.D., MBA

Dr. Daniel Ling is a hospitalist physician with the Stanford Hospitalist Medical Group, based at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Ling graduated cum laude from Harvard University with an A.B. in economics and philosophy, and received his M.D. from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He also earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, focusing his studies on the improvement of health care delivery. Dr. Ling then completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at UCLA, where he received several teaching commendations, as well as a Quality Improvement Scholarship for his efforts to enhance patient safety and physician communication. He is ABIM board certified in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Ling also serves as the Director of Strategy and Analytics for the Stanford Hospitalist Medical Group, and is tasked with using data and innovative care concepts to drive improved patient safety and care as well as satisfaction. He has previously completed internships addressing quality of care with the Institute for Innovation in Health at UCLA, the Center for Innovation in Quality Patient Care at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, and the Department of Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
Dr. Ling enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis and golf, and skiing. He also enjoys travel, and has been involved in medical projects based in diverse locations including South Africa, Honduras, Bolivia, and India.
