Helena Fotiou, M.D.
Director of Skilled Nursing Facility Operations
Dr. Helena Fotiou was born and raised on the East Coast where she received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at the University of Virginia. She then began her career in pharmaceuticals performing research on monoclonal antibodies to treat diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. She soon realized that she wanted to be on the front lines of medicine as a physician and left the pharmaceutical industry to receive a medical degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. She completed her residency training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and afterwards joined the Stanford Hospitalist Medical Group. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine. She works primarily as a Hospitalist and in post-acute care. She is significantly involved in the care of our patients in skilled nursing facilities and overseeing successful transition from hospital to skilled nursing facility. Outside of work you may find her participating in local volleyball and soccer leagues!
