Vee Pitis, M.D.
Dr. Pitis is an internist and hospitalist attending with the Stanford Hospitalist Medical Group. Prior to joining SHMG Inc., Dr. Pitis completed her internal medicine training at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, where she discovered her passion for acute in-patient medicine.
She is originally from Bangkok, Thailand, where she finished her high school education. She received her degrees in Bachelor of Science in Biology with Chemistry minor, followed by Master of Arts in Medical Science at Loyola University Chicago. At the University, she was awarded Presidential Scholarship, Trustee Scholarships, Dean’s Lists, and a lifetime membership of Golden Key National Honor Society. She also served as the Vice- President and a co-founder of Thai Club at the University. Afterward, she completed and received her Medical Doctor degree from Chicago Medical School, where she had opportunities to train at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook of County and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Finally, she moved to Los Angeles for her residency training and has decided to stay since.
Dr. Pitis has very much enjoyed being a hospitalist and being a part of SHMG. She enjoys international traveling, spending time with her family, eating, and hiking.
